WE DO

Social Activities Integration (SAI) is working with poor & neglected communities of sex workers, poor people living with HIV, and their children for their education, upliftment, and welfare since 1991. Formally registered in 1999, we provide free comprehensive care & support through mobile and static clinics. We have tie-ups with public hospitals such as Nair, J.J, KEM, Gourabai, etc., to ensure better treatment for this community.

We also run "Mission Education" programs for children of sex workers, providing daily tuition facilities as per school syllabi by trained teachers, afternoon meals, and free pick-up & drop transportation by our school van. In the past, SAI had a Hepatitis Project for the care & support of pregnant women, their family members, and women of childbearing age in five wards of South Mumbai.

We also provide financial help to poor child cancer patients undergoing treatment in Tata Memorial, Wadia Hospitals, S.R.C.C., KEM, and MCGM hospitals, among others. SAI had an ICTC Mobile Clinic Center to provide testing facilities for STIs and HIV/AIDS, covering 12 NGOs working with high-risk groups. If a patient was found HIV/STI positive, we referred them to public hospitals for necessary treatment in Thane district.

We also operated a Community Care Centre in Thane district to provide medical care and support to HIV-positive patients.
